Heritage collection
Our heritage collection comprises items that are not for
loan. It includes
The Casey Collection - a collection of books, magazines and other items from
the private library of Lord and Lady Casey from their Berwick home, "Edrington". The original collection was
donated to the Berwick Mechanics' Institute and Free
Library by Mrs Jane Macgowan, their daughter. The books
have been arranged to reflect the lives and interests of Lord and Lady
Casey.
Photographs and other objects relating
to the history of Berwick or of historical significance donated to BMI
over the years.
